Ew... He is not killing Astro Boy... Remember how crappy Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, and Powerpuff Girls were? How dare he try to kill one of the great animes by the great Osamu Tezuka! May Genndy Tartakovshy guy be cursed for life...

No. Probably because I think they're awesome.

Anyway, Tartakovsky can't "kill" Astro Boy any more than director Konaka and Sony already have with that damned 2003 remake. When it didn't put me to sleep it made me cringe in pain.

Can't people just accept that Tezuka is dead and leave his stuff alone?

Um, you think you meant how Samurai Jack is Bucking Frillent. I'd trust Tartakovsky with any property they give him.

Not to mention the Powerpuff Girls were created by Craig McCracken...

Anyway, if Genndy is good enough for George Lucus he's good enough for me. (Even if George has been slipping...)

He won't kill Astro Boy at all. Besides, I like Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab. Powerpuff Girls are good as well. This will be interesting...strange, but interesting...

meh... i never seen astro boy... or do i care... i don't like the powerpuff girls and i'm not a big fan of dexter... but how dare you insult samurai jack... samurai jack is one of the most amazingly done modern day shows that I have seen... the only problom that i have with samurai jack is the character designs, but i deal with it... star wars:clone wars was also good... the ending really dissappointed me... it just ended so abruptly like that... hopefully there will be a third season... anyways, i'm babbling on now...

I think the main fear is how can you replace the fine lines of Tezuka with modern animation and wild stylings of stuff like Samurai Jack and Dexter's Laboratory.

Well, anyone?

That's the understatement of the month...

I'm pretty worried about this one. I like Tartakovsky's shows, but whenever a filmmaker/animator that I like does an adaption of a story I like, it invariably turns out to be crap (there's exceptions like Naked Lunch and Metropolis, but those have almost nothing in common with their source material). And I really cannot imagine a live-action Astro Boy movie without screaming in terror.

Easy. You don't.

Re-read your comment, and then edit it. Trust me, one wrong person is gonna turn rabid at that comment.

But it's not gonna me. I'm too busy counting my winnings from Belmount. Thank You Birdstone for my Ticket Win. Very Happy
