I guess since A-1 is doing it, Kyo-Ani pretty much is not going to be doing a full series if they ever do one. It also makes the incident earlier on this year much more interesting.

As mentioned in the 3rd news update, Yamakan already posted a revengeful message on his blog. Also pay attention to the copyright notice:

Yamamoto headlining a dropped project (albeit in short form) by Kyoto Animation at the studio that helped him redeem his name (A-1 Pictures)? I'm sure the producers didn't have to twist his arm to make it.
It's good to see him get his "revenge", though I guess Kannagi wasn't enough. It's also amusing to see the mangaka poke fun at KyoAni. Considering all of the publicity and history behind the animation plans, I could definitely see the the short expanded into a TV series, based on controversy alone. |
