Whoa whoa whoa... when did ADV pick up Grave of the Fireflies?? Good to see this is getting a new release... paying upwards of $30+ used was rather unappealing.

Still waiting for someone to release Patlabor. It's will probably either be Funi or Bandai. I doubt ADV would get that but they just may in the future.

That means I might have trouble trying to sell the copy that I have, but I may just hang on to that one.

Wait a second, Burn Up! for $15 when you can already get the Plastic Little/Burn Up! combo pack for the same or less? Why are they bothering?

We like to call it Best Buy's new DVD strategy or "fooling the distribution system" especially now, it will be a "new" title to stock as opposed to "old" one that is taking up shelf space.

LordRedhand covered why ADV is bothering. Makes me happy because I have no interest in getting Plastic Little and rather not have to purchase it only to have to get rid of it. Besides, I don't much care for the initial Burn Up! release's cover art and am hoping that the re-release will have better artwork.

Now if only ADV would bother with Aura Battler Dunbine. Evil or Very Mad

I am in the exact opposite boat as you Emi, we should have bought the 2-pack and each taken the title we wanted. Too bad I already ordered Plastic Little on Amazon. Wink

Had a new R1 licence not been announced, I would have recommended buying it from over here. It's cheap and in plentiful supply.

Next time I want only one of the DVDs that come in those 2-packs, I'll have to remember to contact you to see if you want the other one. Wink

There's no reason not to order those double packs if it means spending less money. You can also try selling that unneeded DVD or donating it, so it does more good than anything else.

Except I wouldn't spend less money. MSRP for the 2-pack is $19.98 while just Burn Up! would be $14.98.
