Let it be known, Justin: The more you bash a show, the more I want to watch it.

Looks like I'll be hunting on eBay, or see if Amazon's got some back stock or used DVDs floating around. (Assuming I don't look for some rips to try before buying first)

Just what happened to CPM anyway? Are they dead or just hibernating? (They haven't even announced a new title since the time before Christ!)

i actually kinda like Arcade Gamer Fubuki. probably just because it's one of Mine Yoshizaki's early works. (if you've ever read Keroro Gunso, it doesn't take long to figure out that Mine's passions in life include girls and video games)

but anyway, it was still a fun show to watch if you want a cheap laugh Anime hyper

I saw it and personally found it quite entertaining. It's not an everyday/month watch, but it's short enough that I've found myself popping the DVD in the player and just enjoying some absurdly stupidly entertaining fun.
By no means is it a must have, but I've seen worse.

One thing I must ask about is your statement of "In addition to that, there are some strangely incestual undertones,".
Would you please be willing to add a little detail about what you're referring to? I know there's an undertoned lesbian vibe between a couple of the characters(don't want to give any real possible spoilers), but they're not related.

Thanks. Cool

Well, fortunately no one would bother to think of this when they see Sgt. Frog.

I remember around the time this came out in Japan seeing gashapon figures for this and thinking they were incredibly stupid looking.

Seems I was right.

Rarely do I read a review about something bad which makes me not want to watch it. *Shudder* this sounds really horrible.

But most annoying are the interviews with Fubuki's voice actress Sakura Nogawa. Nogawa is dressed in Fubuki cosplay (which is really just a big blue hoodie, a frilly miniskirt and bulky yellow shoes), and talking to the camera in her little girl voice, informing us of all the great Fubuki-related items we can buy. She's happy to show off her music video, which features her eating candy and pedaling a stationary bike surrounded by a bunch of balloons. "It was my first time to be filmed amidst a bunch of balloons!" she proclaims.

Nogawa then proceeds to attempt a bunch of elementary school level exercises and fails at almost all of them. She mugs to the camera and whines, "I did three sit-ups!" I guess this is supposed to be moë, but all it made me want to do is throw her off a building.

Ugh. This seems to be a pretty common trend with Japanese voice actresses. Even if I liked the characters, the actresses often manage to appear incredibly annoying and, well, dumb in the interviews and other extras. Worse, more often than not they seem to be completely clueless about the story they worked on. Pandering to the otaku crowd at it's worst.

My finance told me this was horrible, and I laughed. "How bad can it be?" I said. "Let's watch it!"

One episode later, I got up, ejected the DVD, put it into the case, and threw it across the room into the trash can.

and I've sat through ALL of Dark Cat and Apocalypse Zero.

Wouldn't it be surprising to learn that Sakura Nogawa may have shared Justin's "soul sucking" sentiment over Fubuki? Of course, there's just as good a chance that she's as much of a puff in those videos as she is in real life. But I have a feeling that some of these voice idols/actresses put on as much of a show for their "fans" as they do for their bosses.

This is story in need of a Dateline investigation.

I'd sooner masturbate to Doraemon.

This caught me by pleasant surprise. Any chance that this concept can be the basis behind the next ANNina strip?
