and 505 Games' acquisition of D3 Publisher in 2022

Probably best to clarify that 505 Games acquired D3 Go!, formerly D3 Publisher of America, as the actual D3 Publisher over in Japan has been owned by Bandai Namco since 2009. 505 Games only acquired the assets belonging to what remained of D3's American division after it switched over to a mobile-only publisher in 2015, not the actual D3 Publisher itself.

it's always bugged me that it could get as low as 30° Fahrenheit, but it won't even have the decency to snow.
Don't you just love global warming?

Eagle-eyed fans will be greatly rewarded by tearing their gaze from Mai's Mais

That’s what we’re calling her breasts now?

Not being snarky but that seems a bit ego driven.

Quote:
a reminder, Mai's not even the chestiest Fatal Fury/King of Fighters character; at 86 cm, the cross-dressing Muay Thai practitioner King had Mai beat by a whole centimeter in her original Art of Fighting 2 debut (Mai was bumped up two centimeters between Fatal Fury 2 and King of Fighters '94 for size of 87 cm). Currently, Shermie and Ángel are tied for SNK's biggest busts at 92 cm each—a whole three centimeters over Mai's updated 89 cm, as of 2005's Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. For those curious, Mai's still a whole centimeter smaller than her real-world inspiration, Fumie Hosokawa (90 cm). So now you know not to trust anyone bellyaching about Mai being "downgraded."

I did out of curiosity go and look but apparently even Blue Mary is bustier than Mai who along with King has different sizes depending on game.

I don't play SF6 or any modern fighting games but I'm happy Mai looks good and they kept her iconic costume rather than try to give her more covered up one like some of the other fighters have gotten. I wonder if SNK were insistent on that.

She’s wearing an all leather outfit that covers up parts of her body that would traditionally be exposed, in the Mark Of The Wolves sequel which has led to some bad faith arguments from critics. I like to think they gave Capcom carte blanche on this same as Tecmo when she was in DOA 5 & 6.

It's just a joke, no need to read that far into it.

As I've said many times before when it comes to Monolith Soft: "Look what you coulda had, Square!" They're also one of the only studios to pull off a trilogy without it crapping the bed in the final act or taking forever to get anything out. They're basically the new RPG kings that do all sorts of new, interesting and weird stuff with their games. And to be at Nintendo of all places
