well it's out... opinions?
i personally think it lives up to the hype so far, but this is an early judgement. Jin and Mugen remind me of Kazuma and Ryuhou from "Scryed".
can't wait to see the next episode.

Excellent. Loved it. Wantanabe has a style like no other. I predict this show will be as big and as beloved as Cowboy Bebop.

Wow. I forgot all about this show for a little bit.
So, how was that supposed hip-hop music handled? I'm sure it must've been handled properly if Zac-sama isn't complaining.
As popular as Bebop, eh? I may like this show...

I REALLY love this show. I am eagerly awaiting future episodes. The hip hop didn't seem really hip hoppy to me at all. It just seemed like a mix between light techno and big beats. I am not too fond of the OP and ED though. As far as animation goes, I love this style of animation. It's very fluent and flows beautifully. My big moments on the show were of course the soundtrack and the animation. I am really going to keep up with this series.

well for one the intro's a hip hop song, and it's not japanese or engrish, so that's a plus . it's mostly influenced in the style the show's done. Watanabe definitely accomplished what he set out to do.

Hasn't Samurai Champloo been licensed?
That’s why I was curious about how those who have watched actually watched it.

*sigh* I'm never gonna be able to see this title without reading it as "Samurai Shampoo."

I like it!
Two main things I like about it:
1: The shaky camera during the fight scenes
2: The formula of the two protagonists at odds.
P.S.
The squirl thing weirded me out.
