As was said in the Gad Guard thread...
But unlike the others, this one mentions:

Finally, a series I can actually enjoy. Hopefully, this means season one, two and Ova will be released.
I wonder if Funimation is re-dubbing Vandread or simplying getting the license. Either way, despite the fact I've watched this show over three times, if Netflix get's the Funimation version, I'll check this series out. As for the Eva movie, I had a feeling Funimation might license this movie. I am just glad there is at least one series Funimation licensed that isn't ecchi or melodramatic mecha. I look forward to whatever else is licensed. |

I really like Vandread so I'm happy it got a re-release but I'm more happy about eva (See kaoru avatar) so that's what I'm really excited for.

If FUNi got the Eva movie, I wonder how the folks over at ADV are feeling....
Anyways, even though I haven't seen Eva, I know this means one thing- Eva on Blu-ray. |

If they announced blu-ray I would be hyped up for that. I tried watching vandread but dropped it because it was too boring and stupid for my tastes but I'm sure there are a few people out there who are happy about this.

Maybe it'll get The Second Raid treatment. |

Seems feasible enough. FUNi won't have to go too far to retain the original English cast. As for Vandread, I'm glad that FUNi picked up this title, and I might double-dip on it if it gets the anamorphic treatment. Fun show with a lot of quirky characters and situations, and Second Stage had a lot of major character developments and changes. |

I don't know if they'll re-dub it. Seirei no Moribito was saved by FUNimation and Geneon's voice actors stayed in the show. I don't think FUNimation will re-dub a show unless Geneon's license actually expires. here's proof of my Seirei no Moribito reference. anime#6634 |

Sure Eva is their claim to fame and probably their favorite license but I don't think they had any intention on getting it. But the movie will go nicely with the holiday re release of the original series ADV is doing |

If I hadn't just gotten the complete collection version last month I'd definitely look into getting this. A good pick up for Funimation though. Considering that it came out in the early 2000s, I was surprised that it didn't end up on Cartoon Network's Toonami or at least Adult Swim before they took their current stance on anime. This is a good series that more people should get to see.

Except your evidence points to Media Blasters as releasing Seirei no Moribito. |

Technically, ADV Films didin't have the funds to license it. It's a good thing that Funimation has deep pockets and are friends with them, though. |

It was actually shown on one of the Starz channel every day for like two years. And I was also thinking about double dipping if it gets an anamorphic release. At least when FUNi releases it the price should be more reasonable than Geneon's. |
