I guess it's not that popular in Japan.

The manga is badly written, and the artwork is such that you can't tell one character from another half the time. Perhaps this adaptation will be better and put some life into the series, but I doubt anything will save the actual manga itself.
I do like the opening music, though.

I really like the manga, so I am excited that they have decided to make an anime series. But I am confused as to how many episodes there will be. I know that it is an OVA and usually there are maybe 2-3 episodes, but since they are having two seperate relese dates for two dvd's, does that mean they both only contain one episode?

I can tell the characters apart & really love the story. It made it thru 12 or so volumes of manga, so it can't be that big a loser, not to mention they also have Dolls running in Zero-Sum last I saw (November issue)
I bought the artbook I believe a good year ago because the coloring is interesting-more muddy/fall colors. It stands out from the usual shojo stuff, although the anime seems to brighten up the look. I'm hoping Switch does well enough, we'll get Dolls. Yeah, lsome report it was licensed by TP, but they put out a different title (by Mitsukazu Mihara) with a similar name as has Viz (by Yumiko Kawahara) so I'm not sure naked ape's Dolls was the one licensed. And if it has been licensed, then I hope whoever has it will get off their duff & put it out.

How's that?
This OVA seems in the advertise mode not unlike Ten Tokyo Warriors, Kizuna, Here Is Greenwood & Twin Signal. I assume with only 2 eps, it's to enact a story. If the title were that unpopular, I really doubt they'd blow money making an OVA even if it's only 2 eps.
