I'm gonna guess that's only because of the success of the anime. Too bad it's the exact same thing as Azumanga Daioh, except not funny, instead it's just more endless references.

Is this Bandai Entertainment's first manga?
I was tempted to pick up the original version as a souvenir when I passed through Narita recently, but it looked impossible to follow without reading Japanese. (As opposed to something like Doraemon, where the pictures alone tell most of the story.)

No, Bandai released the Eureka 7 manga. It was good, had some slight differences from the anime so its worth picking up even if you saw it.
And, SWEET!! More Lucky Star! Just wish they would release the DS games over here. It's hard play the imports becuase they are in Japanese.

Lucky Star manga is a bit basic, you'll see that the first few chapters look exactly like how the first few episodes of the anime played out. But it's still cute to read about these girls talking about everyday stuff in the fashion that they do.

FINALLY! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A YEAR!
I have enough energy to run ten thousand miles! I wonder how I'd react if they licensed the games... I'd probably knock on everybody's door, and give them candy! :3

Well this is no surprise. If they have the anime, then it was only a matter of time till they got the manga. *Still waits for Viz to license Gintama*

Ah, this is exciting news. I bought the first 5 volumes in Japanese, but I didn't realize until I got home that they don't have the handy hiragana characters next to the kanji DX
I hope they do a good job with the translation and everything. =3 I did enjoy the Eureka Seven manga they licensed...

Yes, Comptiq isn't one of the magazines that supplies hiragana for the readers. Shonen magazines, shojo magazines, Gangan, but not Comptiq.
