Just a little bit of a constructive criticism, it would be awesome if there was a NSFW filter for the site- or even a marker for articles that include NSFW material. Please let me know if there's already a way to filter NSFW content, as it can be extremely triggering in multiple ways. Thank you ANN staff for your hard work as always.

I don't have any objection of having a NSFW filter, and that would be handy for ANN users that are like at work, or don't want little kids seeing inappropriate stuff even if it's a animation/cartoon to them.

Makes sense. I know reviews of NSFW manga are marked on the review indices, but some filter would probably help people.

I also agree that there should be an NSFW filter for basically inappropriate stuff,especially for younger readers. I think that's needed and I hope it gets done soon.

I've thought of this in the past and never got around to putting it on the to-do list.
Just last week I requested a NSFW addition to our images system, which would mostly satisfy your request, but I think an NSFW/Trigger warning for articles could be useful as well, so I'll put it down on the to-do list. The Image filter will probably be done within the month or so, it's a quick fix and is just waiting for the developer who works on the image system to finish their current task. Note, there won't be a "content filter," that filters what's on the front page. So NSFW articles will still appear on the front page. The image filter will hide images until they are clicked on, and the NSFW/Trigger warning will warn people that the article text contains references to objectionable material. |

Thank you for this update Tempest!!! It's nice to know that this site will get a NSFW filter. I have another thing I want to address and I apologized for the slight off-topic tangent but can you or ANN address of adding a 2-factor authentication for ANN accounts/profiles. The reason I want 2-factor authentication for ANN profiles/accounts is because I worried about hackers trying to hack into my account (or any other ANN users accounts/profiles, even long time users) and posting spam or inflammatory posts/statements to make it look like I'm an evil person (which I'm not), but that scenario always worries me a lot ever since I've seen my friends Facebook, and Instagram accounts being hacked and hijacked in the past. I've seen users on MAL/Myanimelist that didn't have 2-factor authentication set up had their account/profile hacked and hijacked. So I worried about something like that happening on ANN. So could you kindly address having 2-factor authentication for ANN profiles. |

How would NSFW be defined? There are things that are not really morally offensive (in fiction) but disgusting enough that some of use would prefer not to see them in a thumbnail on the front page (the example I remember was the creepy drawing used on the Gannibal manga review article thumbnail).
