The reason for me to create this thread in the ANN feedback section is because I'm very disturbed that ANN has not set up a 2-factor authentication option for ANN and I know ANN moderators and admins are usually good at going spam accounts, but I'm concerned spammers hacking and hijacking a legitimate ANN user accounts to spread spam post by proxy which is a real thing and a real possibility. I'm also very very concern about a malicious actor(s) or a troll may try hacking and hijacking a legitimate user accounts on ANN to spread malicious messages, racist insults, or using the legitimate user's account for nefarious purposes. Even on MAL/MyAnimeList, yes, you have 2-factor authentication (anyone that used MAL would know this), and yes, there have been cases of hacker hacking MAL users' accounts/profiles assuming that user didn't set up & activate the 2-factor authentication. I've also been talking on MAL about putting more options to add for 2-factor authentication. This has also happened to my friend's Facebooks and Instagram accounts from time to time (I'm a witness to seeing my friend's FB & IG account being hacked and hijacked).

Yes, I would be worried if somebody hacked and hijacked my account to post inflammatory, insulting, or even racist post to make me look like I'm evil (which I'm not by heart). I'm also very concern about a hacker can hijack a ANN moderators account like Key, Errinundra, SenpaiDuckie, or other moderators/admin accounts to do something like that. Given that Viz Media's Twitter account was hacked and the Crunchyroll login credentials were leaked and posted on social media, it showed that website with users accounts/profile but with no 2-factor authentication, those accounts/profiles can be hacked easily even with a very strong password, and regardless if the password was obtained with phishing or no phishing. I was the one that called for ANN to please put multi/2-factor authentication for this website because it can be easy for hackers to hack & hijack an ANN user account. That's a very scary scenario, somebody who has a big grudge against ANN or one of the ANN user and is a skilled hacker to do something like that.

Are there any chances that ANN could set up a 2-factor authentication option in the future for ANN users to prevent unwanted or malicious hacking and hijacking?
