Of all the One Piece spinoff manga, this isn’t the one I expected to get an adaptation.

I read a couple of chapters of that spin-off and enjoyed it. Too bad it's getting just some shorts (in vertical format apparently) for fans that would have enjoyed a proper adaptation.

One Piece in Love, currently doing chapters for Vol 10, could never work as a traditional anime for the OP demographic so I get why advertorial shorts were chosen instead. Chopperman is arguably the first of these deep-in-the-weeds multiple-media spin-offs and only 2 special eps of the anime exist for it.
