My goodness. A commercial with the original Japanese voice actors of an anime drinking beer in New York. That's not just interesting, but surprising as well. It's kind of a shame that they didn't have the English dub actors for this show make an appearance. That would have been great as well.

It seems that you were talking about the Chibi Maruko-chan anime and its voice actors.
But actually, in the Chibi Maruko-chan anime, voice actress Tarako did the voice of Maruko, later voice actress Kikuchi Kokoro does the voice of Maruko, voice actress Watanabe Naoko does the voice of Tama-chan, and voice actor Kikuchi Masami does the voice of Hanawa-kun.
Actress Hirose Suzu, actress Itō Sairi, and actor Odagiri Joe, who were mentioned in the Comic Natalie and ANN articles, are not the persons who do the voices of the three principal characters in question in the Chibi Maruko-chan anime.
They just play the roles of (the grown-up version of) the three Chibi Maruko-chan manga/anime characters in a live-action way for Suntory's TV commercials.

Japanese companies sometimes have made TV commercials on the 'We film characters from a manga/anime who had been children in the original work and who have now become grown-ups in a live-action way' premise.

For example,

・Toyota
Tsumabuki Satoshi has played the role of Nobi Nobita whose age is now 30 years old. Jean Reno has played the role of Doraemon.

・Daihatsu
Yoshioka Riho has played the role of Maruko from Chibi Maruko-chan whose age is now 22 years old.

・SoftBank
Suzuki Fuku has played the role of Nobi Nobita whose age is now 15 years old. Sakai Masato has played the role of Nobi Nobita whose age is 45 years of age. Bruce Willis has played the role of Doraemon.

In the 1970s, Fujiko Fujio wrote and illustrated a manga/gekiga of which title was Gekiga Oba-Q. (In a book on Fujiko Fujio which was written by Yonezawa Yoshihiro, who was a famous manga critic and the president of the Comic Market Preparatory Committee, Mr Yonezawa had a high opinion of Gekiga Oba-Q.)
Gekiga Oba-Q depicts characters who had been children in the original Obake no Q-tarō manga and who have now become grown-ups.
Works by Fujiko Fujio are almost part of common knowledge for Japanese people, to say nothing of Japanese people who work in the media industries and ad industry. Those TV commercials might have been inspired by Gekiga Oba-Q.

Surreal way to grow up with characters you knew from childhood.
