Doga Kobo, huh. So chances are pretty high this will be gorgeously animated.

So this is a body swap story, not an isekai or time shift? Interesting. Isekai reincarnation stories have set this gimmick to the side in recent years.

Having Doga Kobo animating this should definitely be fun watching Kou Reirin enjoying and being super optimistic about life now that she has a healthy body even in the face of being hated and harassed living as Shu Keigetsu. Shu Keigetsu also getting that buyer's remorse taking the body of the protagonist whose super sickly, grass indeed is always greener on the other side.

The following person tweeted an image of this series on a Twitter time stamp of March 14@3:31 AM. Now, unless Toho Animation prev. hinted at this series, not sure how that Twitter user got a right guess: x.com/TurinB89946/status/1900494960627196181.

What is the average wait period for decent/good quality animation from the moment of announcement till 1st episode premiere?

Pretty funny that it's basically reuniting of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle staff despite Yamazaki supposedly moved from Doga Kobo to MAPPA a few years ago, with her last work there being Zenshu - but now she's suddenly switched back again directing at Doga Kobo.

Most likely freelancing. I've seen that be the case of many directors over the years. Not to mention MAPPA took a chance on an original series that Doga Kobo probably wasn't willing to take at that point.

If there's no release date or full trailer then that usually means that the airing is at least a year off, and upwards of two years isn't unusual. (A handful of titles due out in the Spring '25 season were first announced in the summer of 2023, for instance.)

Yup. It's a lot like Apothecary Diaries but with a little more politicking, and a lot more humor. Definitely one of the better LNs out there, so I'd bet on it being one of the better shows of its season (possibly its year).

Daaang. Well, if I wasn't really optimistic before, I would be now. I'm a fan of the Sleepy Princess manga, but was a bit late on checking out the anime -- but when I finally did, I was very impressed. Way better than I tend to expect for these sorts of comedy manga adaptations.
