Tokyo, Japan and Culver City, Calif., March 17, 2025 – Aniplex Inc. (President: Atsuhiro Iwakami, hereinafter referred to as Aniplex) and Crunchyroll, LLC (President: Rahul Purini, hereinafter referred to as Crunchyroll) announced today that they have jointly invested in and established HAYATE Inc.
HAYATE's main business is planning, developing, and producing anime content for the Crunchyroll streaming service available worldwide.
HAYATE's staff will be made up of employees of Aniplex and Crunchyroll. The company will be led by Chairman and CEO Masanori Miyake and President and COO Leo Watanabe, both from Aniplex.
With its diverse stories, characters, and expressions, anime's popularity as entertainment content and a lifestyle is spreading even further around the world. HAYATE will produce premium content for anime fans worldwide using Aniplex's production know-how cultivated over the years through its partnerships with a wide range of creators and studios as well as Crunchyroll's development, marketing, and distribution capabilities built upon its strong ties to the anime community and passionate fandom.
