For what it’s worth, he also did several episodes of Twisted Metal and this is off of Eric Andre winning an Emmy award. But this is his first real big film directing gig.

....Ok but if this fails no more live action Street Fighter stuff. While the OG is a "so bad it's good" kind of movie in hindsight, the second one is really bad and not in a good way. The premise of the series works as a game but not really a movie without some bad modifications, which so far hurts it. Maybe a limited TV series or even a straight-up TV series would work in its favor better, kind of like Cobra Kai which I think is better than the movies it spawned off of. There's just too many characters who you could pull from and have so little time to develop as likable/relatable characters with a limited run time of a movie.

Of all the cast, the only poorly cast characters were…Ryu and Ken! Do Better this time!

Eric Andre himself would make a good Dee Jay. Jussayin.
