I agree that the adaptation is fine so far, of course the animation could be better but I don’t think it’s as bad as many were making it out to be. One thing I am curious about though, since Japan is an episode ahead i wonder how this will affect the viewership for the rest of the world since some people might decide to just pirate in order to be caught up.

I feel like a lot of modern anime fans have become somewhat spoiled by the high-end shows. Sakamoto Days looks perfectly fine, better than a majority of the anime this season even. If the animation stays at this level, I’ll be fine with it.

I agree it's basically the standard you'd expect to see with most Shonen adaptations like My Hero Academia. I totally get wanting animation on the same level as Jujutsu Kaisen but what we got here is good too.

I watched the 1st episode last Saturday, and this anime looks promising and I want to say this:
Quote: | In the months between the anime's announcements and its airing, there's been some controversy among fans for having such a hotly anticipated shonen action title being given to a less action focused studio like TMS as opposed to, say, Madhouse or MAPPA, and the footage from the early trailers didn't seem particularly inspiring. |
I wish Bee Train (the studio that was responsible for Noir, Madlax, and Phantom ~ Requiem for the Phantom) would've done the animation if the studio didn't become defunct in 2012 due to the departure of Koichi Mashimo. Given Bee Train's experience with action & gunfight, they would've done this animation really well including the stylized gunfight and action. But overall, I thought TMS's work on this is acceptable to me judging from watching the first episode.

Honestly, I can't trust Bee Train after seeing their take on Tsubasa and the .hack Roots anime.I enjoyed Sakamoto's animation but I gotta say the flashback of how he got engaged was kinda rushed like a Spiderman cartoon as the love interest nearly kill herself. Also, what's Kagura doing in this anime? She moved from Gintama to Sakamoto.

My Hero has better animation than this. Not to say SakaDays looks bad, but these two are not that comparable.

I mean sure at its very peak but I'm speaking in general. Sakamoto Days hasn't gone on long enough so for all we know it could have a big moment similar to what MHA does in terms of animation.
