I don’t mind Stephanie Nadolny returning to play young/small Goku, just as long as Colleen Clinkenbeard remains as young Gohan and Monica Rial Bulma.

Same. I don't think there ever was an official reason for replacing Nadolny in Kai, so this is a good opportunity to bring her back. Colleen did a good job, and it's not like Goku and Gohan are the same person, so similar, but not the same, voices would make sense. Monica can obviously do a young Bulma voice pretty easily.

Admittedly not super involved in the Dragonball franchise or fandom so I had zero inkling on which way they would go, but part of me did wonder if they would re-cast kid Goku over bringing back Colleen (whether a reprisal or new actor), if only because voicing Luffy week to week and the lead in a Dragonball show sounds like it would be absolute hell on anyone's vocal chords haha

Yeah, I think Colleen's gone on record that they need to space out Luffy recordings because of how difficult it is on her voice.

I figured they'd have Nadolny come back for Goku but I'm disappointed we didn't get to hear anyone else (nor have they been announced unless I missed something). I imagine we'll get a bunch of new VAs for the rest of the cast, though it would be funny trying to hear Chris Sabat just try to pitch shift for Vegeta/Piccolo
