I somehow can't imagine Xelloss being the main character. For one thing, he's of the demon race... I would have actually preferred that they pick Zelgadiss instead of the ever-annoying Xelloss, but deep down I feel that Slayers just won't be Slayers without Lina in the spotlight (even if she's not my favourite character). It hasn't been confirmed yet, though, so I wouldn't stress too much just yet.
Besides, even if they do decide to switch protagonists, that doesn't make me any less excited about this upcoming series. I can't wait to see Slayers Revolution! |

Though i think they said it was sketchy whether the original cast would return, i think its a high chance that Akira Ishida will do Xellos again. I don't think i can have any other voice, he's too good. I wonder how are they gonna keep its comical edge if he's the main char?

Xelloss thing=obviously them messing around with the characters. It's not the first time they've had Xelloss joke about taking over. He couldn't even BE a protagonist. He might be amusing (who doesn't love Xelloss?), but he's err... evil. |

I wonder if JC staff will do the animation, I like them. Maybe xellos will be the bad guy ! Its cool they are making a new anime, i wonder if it will be a continuation, or if they will go and re-introduce some of the characters.

I think it's pretty obvious that the Xellos as the main character thing was a joke. He would never work as a protaganist and they know it. His role is to cause trouble for the heroes whle occasionally helping them, and mainly being vague and mysterious. I'm sure Xellos will play a role (maybe we finally find out everything about him and what he and his master have been planning all this time) but Lina and co. will be the stars. You don't bring back a franchise after ten years just to wreck the formula that made it a success.

Xellos is obviously joking in that picture.
Also, all the main characters are supposed to get major voicing contracts for this show. So expect the main four to come back and be a normal Slayers show. Woot! Lina's back! I've loved this series. You think they'll tie in some parts from the movies as well? Maybe Naga makes an appearance? I'm all psyched.
