20 hours of overtime factored in that salary? That means the salary is not 2,400$ a month but much lower ( well not that much) but it still feels like exploitation

The rules on fixed overtime pay in many Japanese companies are complicated, but in this sample case, it means if the worker does not work any overtime in a month, they get 350,000 yen that month. If they work up to 20 hours in overtime in a month, they still get the same 350,000 yen that month. If they work over 20 hours in overtime in a month, the company would have to compensate them extra for the hours over 20 hours.

Thank you for the explanation, I'm not that well versed on how they pay animators, only know that usually the pay is not that great. Seems like I misunderstood the statement

It's a fair point that while it's possible to live in Tokyo or the surrounding area for 350,000 yen a month, that won't go very far.

But I guess this is confirmation he won't be involved in any future CSM...? Sad...
I'd been re-reading the manga, and you can easily tell the love he had for the source material based on the adaptation, and even the things he chose to cut, re-cut, and frame in ways that elevate the material for the screen perfectly, alongside the original material he put in that add to the mood of the scenes and character. I actually feel the anime is the more definitive version of Chainsaw-Man for me.
I hope whoever takes over for the film and season 2 keeps building upon the same style and foundation of Season 1.
