I kinda want Danny DeVito to voice the big nosed character in the article image.
I don't think DeVito has voiced in a Studio Ghibli film dub yet.

As probably one of the few people here who has seen the film (due to living in Japan) - Danny Devito would be a PERFECT fit for that character.

Without spoiling the best way I could describe that character would be "loveable oldish? rogue with a heart of gold".

I'm not well versed in who dubs Ghibli stuff - I mean its a long time but out of the pool available who would fit that spec ? I seem to remember big name actors have been involved with Ghibli before ?. One that comes to mind would be the VA who does Jigen for Lupin the 3rd maybe ?

Interesting. I like the idea of Danny DeVito. He's never dubbed an Anime before, but he HAS experience in voice acting. Check out his resume on it here!

The man is super talented. I thought he was nailbitingly nasty (in a good way) as the Penguin from Batman Returns, and I think Matilda is his best work.

Then maybe you can tell me what the hell I'm looking at in the poster image? The truncated thumbnail looks like a snake biting an eyeball or a bird's head, while the poster looks like a heron with an eyeball in its beak. I image the latter is the more correct interpretation, but why does it have an eyeball in its mouth? If it's not an eye, what is it??
