No Asian actresses? And they don't look like sisters, either. I think they're confusing it with a Charmed remake. Rolling Eyes

Dude, don’t start with that. This is the French version of Cat’s Eye. Meaning the characters are gonna be different.

Shit, they don't exactly look alike in the manga either.

I for one look forward to seeing another country besides America butcher an anime series for a change.

Just like with "Nicky Larson", the series was localized so the characters were no longer Asian: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signé_Cat%27s_Eyes

Whitewashing and any race-swapping of real/fictional characters is vile.

It's a low budget French adaptation.

Just think of it as the equivalent of Uwe Boll.

Yeah, that's why all the Japanese live-action adaptations are full of European/American actors playing the characters. Unless they swap them up with Japanese actors with colourful wigs, which is more usual.

I can see both sides of this argument, on the one hand not only was this set in japan, but the designs of the characters do look more Asian than a lot of other Anime. you can't say "Well in the Anime/Manga they had blonde hair and blue eyes". On the other hand, it's not like Japan cares one bit when doing this about matching ethnicities, live action AOT and FMA, and this is a foreign adaptation, so changes make sense, like how the cast and location of And Then There Were None was changed when adapted for Japanese TV.
