LMAO He might as well retire at this point. Who's actually willing to forgive and accept him again after all this?

"inappropriate behavior" Yeah lying to his work collegue that he wasn't marired for the 10 years they spent together, with promising the intention to marry her, only to reveal he was already married and wasted that girls life for over a decade is what they call "inappropriate behavior"
Normally i do not really get into matters of the extra martial affairs as things are complicated but the way this guy handled it. You can tell he was just being a scumbag. I just hope the girl who fell for it is doing ok as this is not good.

His first mistake was not disclosing to his fellow employee that he was married, his second was letting this last for more than a decade wtf. I do think he should be back in the industry considering some of the things his colleagues like Daisuke Namikawa have done.

I don't think even Tatsuhisa Suzuki retired from his agency, if I'm remembering right.

Slap on the wrist? Are you kidding? He just fell on his sword! IF he has a career, a big IF at this point, he will really have to work to rebuild his career. Ultimately, Sakurai destroyed his career and one assumes a big chunk of his life and has no one to blame but himself. But I am always amazed at the schadenfreude surrounding this sort of screw up. “LMAO”? How the eff is this anything to laugh about? Even to the extent that this is even anything of your business?

It's already April 1st in Japan thus I was not 100% sure if I wanted to believe this particularly given how others stay on like what other commenters have pointed out.
Honestly, with all the money he made, he can probably retire fine.

Has he been working with another talent agency behind Intention‘s back? He told them he was freelance!

Very sad news. I hope that he is a freelancer now and find a new great job soon! I wish him all the best!

As long as he continues to work since work is just that. Thankfully, he wasn't replaced as Geto nor should his role as Cloud be affected.
People are crazy if they think this is a "slap on the wrist" and grossly underestimate what effect its had on him and his career and surrounding colleagues. That said, it's not my business and doesn't really change my opinion on him and I'm sure he'll learn.

Well deserve. I usually don't think that cheating deserves a punishment further than being exposed, but what this dude made was disgusting af, so even if he goes freelance and continues normally, I hope this serves him as a warning that you cannot play with people without having consecuencies.
He didin't learn his lesson with the plagiarism thing, maybe this time he will.
I just wish people with real crimes behind their backs had a punnishment as well. Watsuki, for example or Ozawa Ren...

Good news, though it sounds more like he chose to step down rather than the agency booting him...
Wish this would also happen to a few other seiyuu........

Really? Wish people would stop bringing his name up every single time a crime happens in Japan and ends up as news on here. Please don’t bring that stuff up especially since the two incidents aren’t even related.
This is probably for the best for Sakurai, especially since he was a pretty popular seiyuu. But it definitely does sound like he stepped down on his volition though.
