That's unfortunate; I liked Gravitation. Learning that she did EDs for Index makes her role in Index III more charming.

Aw man, I met her a few times, the first time in the US, when she debuted as a new singer for High School of the Dead and then at Otakon, with her former group Altima. She was really nice, always greeted us with a smile. RIP Maon

Her song “X-encounter”, “Under-shaft” and “Afterglow” are some of my all-time favorite anisongs (please give them a try if you haven’t heard them) , man I am gonna be so emotional every time I listen to those songs now

I saw her at a minor event in 2019. She joked about hoping there would be more zombie-related anime in the future like School-Love and Zombie Land Saga, so that she could get future work a voice actress who only plays groaning zombies. When performing she kept walking all over the stage to be closer to as many people as possible.

I'm sad i never got to listen to her other songs before but i remembered hotd ending theme and definitely for the anime reincarnated as a sword. My heart breaks for so many of the japanese anime performers and singer have been passing away but i do hope that she is in heaven having no fears and no pain and that she is with her loved ones!

I listened to her ending themes for HOTD add nausea back when (surprise surprise) I was in high school. Can't believe she left us so soon. Another lovely voice was lost before its time. Goodbye, Maon. Thanks for making the awkward days more bearable.

I remember Altima's performance at Otakon some years back. They were great.
She was the same age as me. Definitely makes you reflect... you never know how much time you've got. |
