1000% in for another season, heck, maybe we can have a second season trifecta of Meshi, Frieren and Apothecary all in the same season again.

I hope that the same team is back and doesn't end up like Mushoku Tensei

About 1 year since the premiere of the first season the timing is clearly intentional, let's hope it's another 2 cours, i want it to reach the Goddess's Monument Arc.

I don't know about the same team, but the article specifically says it's Madhouse animating it again, so at least it's the same studio.
We can only hope they don't change the team too much...

Ah, Yes

It's something that I wish happened when they announced staff for Season 2 of One-Punch Man in 2017, but, not everything will go as you expect in life, I guess. Gotta let it go lol.

Anyways, I'm happy with Frieren. Now let's hope the same staff is also returning, especially Director Keiichiro Saito, and a few monster veteran animators, and my lifespan will be extended.

Some of you are too fixated on the buildings where these shows are made. Even if Madhouse continued with OPM S2, the majority of the staff moved on by that point. The show was carried by freelancers first and foremost.

This series was way too successful by any metric to not get more animation, but it's still good to see confirmed. Probably looking at a Fall '25 debut since they only said "greenlit."

Considering how big a hit it was, it doesn't surprise me, but happy about it all the same!

I just hope they can get Keiichiro Saito and most of the original staff back together.

The fact Frieren S2 was Greenlit isn’t a surprise, what is a surprise is that it wasn’t Greenlit the day Season 1 ended.

I already said I moved on. Besides, it doesn't matter, 2017 Madhouse's in-house staff is still infinitely better than The Peak of J.C Staff's in-house + freelancer.

Not surprising but still fantastic. I'm certainly not ready for Frieren's journey to end.

Considering the first season adapted 7 volumes out of 13 I can see season 2 lasting one cour to avoid catching up with the manga especially since its serialization became kinda slow
