I'm glad this is getting re-released, I have all of the Game Boy Advanced (plus DS) games of this series. This is will a blast to play again.

Such hype! I was looking for an excuse to go replay these (again), and doing it on a big screen might be the way to do it.

Looking forward to it, I haven't played these since 2005 when I sold my GBA SP so 5 Team Colonel & 6 will be the first time for me.

Shame about no Xbox One version but then they mostly stopped supporting it after the first Ace Attorney collection flopped (as revealed in the 2020 leak) plus I'm surprised they're releasing these physically because Zero/ZX had stock issues when they first came out (which probably had more to do with the start of the pandemic) plus it never made their top sellers list like the original & X Collections did.

I hope they touch up the translations. 4 onward feel rough, even by BN standards which were always rough to be honest.

4's absolutely bonkers how they thought releasing a game with a translation that borderline nonsense made sense at the time to begin with.

Wait, what about Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge?
But seriously, while not having an Xbox version is a kick in the balls.
This is huge news, I love this series, played ever one of them.

Wonder how the trophies will be.
Imagine having to beat like BassΩ or MegamanDS in 5, or any secret (upgraded) bosses really.

Man, is this a blast from the past. I owned the entire series (or at least one variant) on GBA.

Did they actually get Andrew Francis back for that trailer? He was Megaman in the anime adaption.

lol After the long delay, it's crazy that it still isn't releasing this year. An accurate script translation for all the games is the only reason that I'd forgive it.

CAPCOM will release Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Japanese title is Rockman.EXE Advanced Collection.

Why would there be shame? It was always the version with the highest chance to skip for obvious reasons that you yourself gave an example of. Within the relation of Rockman, the previous Xbox collections were clearly not satisfactory for Capcom if there's no collection now. Maybe they gave Xbox multiple chances after the 1st collection and Zero was the final chance.

Oh please. As if they care. This is one of the series that is stuck in their old school localization/translation ways. Fine, they have to keep MegaMan instead of calling him Rockman, but the title of this collection in Japan is Rockman.EXE Advanced Collection. Something so simple as Advanced (referencing the GBA, for example) was changed to Legacy.

This is all you. Your expectations make no sense when there were multiple collections before this one so you knew what to expect when this collection was announced (only main games). Read my reply to NJ above. Switch "shame" with "a kick in the balls".

Jeffrey Watson from EXE 5 DS game.

Not a mainline series game plus they have always cut spinoffs from previous collections.

In addition to this, there are many other games that never left Japan which are missing.

If there are trophies for the post-game stuff, that's going to be a challenge.

This was released by the same company that gave us the infamously bad dubs of Megaman 8 and X4 (the latter of which had an iffy translated script on top of that) Kinda on brand if you ask me Razz

I hope those graphics are from a smoothing filter you can turn off and not what it actually looks like. Not feeling the visuals.

Andrew is who people would be most nostalgic for. It sounds more like him than Jeffrey, who hasn't done any VA work since 2012.

I mean, it calls it a filter option right there in the trailer, but yes the website confirms that you can switch it on and off at any time.

Jeeze, who spit in your cereal this morning?

A decision can be understandable while still being a shame that a subset of fans won't be able to play on their platform of choice, regardless of size.

And they're calling it "Legacy Collection" because every megaman collection published in the West has be called "[series name] Legacy Collection". There's no "artist intent" or anything being lost from them not being called the Classic/Anniversary/Advanced/Double Hero collections instead.

True story: I was actually on this collections fandom page before I came to this article. On the fandom page, one of the "main editors" inserted that it was Jeffrey, which is why I even bothered to answer that question even though my English dub voice actor knowledge is outdated.

After your reply, I checked back and it was removed due to it not being confirmed. If it's not Jeffrey then I own up to my L of answering that question incorrectly when I had no business getting involved in that subject. lol

There's always someone getting bothered by factual statements. lol

To the bold: Instead of snipping my post, you should have read the part where I said that this is one of the series that has old school localization practices. You should have also read the part where I said that there were multiple collections before this so what was the point of telling me something that I already know? You said that all for nothing. lol But go ahead and make excuses for them, which is an example of why they'll never change their ways.

Do I give up hope on a DASH/Legends collection yet? Is it too early?

Back in April, Andrew Francis teased he'd be voicing Mega Man again in the comments for this Tiktok.
