About freakin' time!
Now we wait and see if they can craft a good, memorable story out of this.

The main Gundam design didn't look very interesting at first, but the line art and model look pretty good.
Hopefully staff details and such soon. I hope it's good.

Why does it have to follow the G-Reco/IBO style mobile suit designs? Ah well, I hope the story is as far away as possible from those two.
Music sounds like 100% Sawano.

Yeah the music beats sound way too Sawano.
Is this the first time we have a main featured Gundam female pilot that is literally the poster girl for the series? I think I may have missed someone from UC era who may have the similar treatment.
That being said, I want to buy the HG gunpla of that Gundam, despite how much it resembles Iron Blood Orphan series whose thin torso may not be everyone’s cup of tea

Twilight Axis erasure. Everyone forgets it had the first female protag animated because the adaptation was dog water.

The six Gundam: Twilight AXIS anime shorts, with a total runtime of 26 minutes, doesn't quite qualify as a "main series."

Chris from 0080? 0080 had 3 lead characters (Al, Bernie and Christina) but the story itself was largely about Al.

0080 is an OVA. I think that's why they were very specific about the description:
Quote: | the first ever "female hero" in a main Gundam television anime series |
No one else qualifies as protagonist for a "main Gundam television anime series"

Gundam Aerial looks like the original RX-78 Gundam and Gundam Barbatos had a child together. My only baseline for the series so far is the hope that it will be magnitudes better than AGE which was the last time they went for a younger audience.

Similarity to the RX-78 is to be expected — the main character’s mobile suit nearly always gets its colours and a relatively conservative design that serves as the base for the aesthetics of the Gundams in any given series.

Female main character, maybe. But "female hero"? Sayla Mass, Emma Sheen, Haman Khan (yeah, I know), Elpeo Ple (Elpi Pru), Roux Louka… and that's just UC TV series.
In any case, we will see.
