I'm gonna guess that Team JNPR's and Ozpin's english VAs will also reprise their characters but haven't announced it yet. Also, Pyrrha's second outfit looks amazing.

As a RWBY fan but as someone who has not cared about any Gen Urobuchi work that they've seen and hasn't heard the best things about Tow Ubukata's stuff, this staff list...doesn't inspire the best of confidence? huke designs are probably the most exciting thing about it, if I'm being honest
But I guess I'll watch it because I'm kind of starved of RWBY content at the moment. Although if Vol 9 happens this year, I'll probably care about this a little less.

I'd bet on Ubukata being way, way more of an influence than Urobuchi. This would be far from the first time a project has stapled 'Buchi's name to the side of itself to get attention. Anyone remember Gunslinger Stratos? No?

I was basically thinking the exact same thing, that Urobuchi likely will have very little to do with the end result. It happened with Gargantia and Aldnoah.Zero, two shows that people were ultimately ambivalent towards *at best*

Why do people rag on Ubukata? He has more than PP2 under his belt. Like, everything Fafner related, Heroic Age and Mardock Scramble

And just like that some of my RWBY interest is rekindled. I would say I'm a fan of Tow Ubukata. I loved Murdock Scramble and the Le Chevalier D'eon.

I don't know what's more surreal, RWBY getting an official anime adaption by Shaft of all studios or Urobuchi being attached to it (he seems to be really diversifying his portfolio). Not sure how to feel about Ubukata being involved.
Actually I'm kind of surprised they're even making this because didn't RWBY kind of crash in Japan? Like they stopped dubbing it at a certain point.

It feels like its been a lifetime since I've seen or watched a recent Shaft anime miss their presence greatly in the current anime scene. I've never cared for RWBY's cheap stiff looking CGI animation now that Shaft is on board I might actually check this title out.

Never thought I'd see the day. I'm cautiously excited about this.

They didn't stop dubbing, it's just been late. Volume 7 of the Japanese dub was released 5 months ago.
I very excited for this since Rwby is becoming an actual anime, but the fact it's being directed by Urobuchi the Butcher himself! Plus from what I understand, this anime adaptation is set in alternative universe from the main Rwby story since we see Weiss wearing an Atlas-like military uniform.
The downside is that one of the writers of the anime was a domestic abuser which has made the Blake's English voice actor uncomfortable, since she herself also suffer from domestic abuse.

The series was only given a theatrical release. The condensed version of vols 1 to 3 was only broadcast on TV to support the theatrical release of vol 4. They recently released dubs for vols 5 to 7 last year.
