I wasn't expecting a Genshin Impact-esque Seven Deadly Sins game or for it to have seemingly so much effort into it, but okay.

Looks like a surprising amount of effort went into it for a game based on a now dead series. This is five years too late.

And there's the sequel manga, too.

Looks at the animation quality of season 3, 4, and 5 trailer of the new movie, and the reruns of the events in the mobile game.

I would call it a questionable business decision unless you can easily reskin the game to other franchises.

While the series is not "dead", it's not exactly thriving either. I feel as if it's popularity has waned enough and it's peaked already. I think this game is like 2 years too late to be as popular as it could be.

I guess at the end of the day what's important is if it's fun to play.

I wonder if they'll bring it over to the West and dub it with the English cast.

Yeah there are a plethora of Genshin clones coming. While i do enjoy Genshin, if SDS is a gatcha game, i won't even bother.
