Another food-themed Precure title 5 years after KiraPre? The onigiri in the logo, the spoon and fork combo as well as the pair of glasses might as well indicate so. I wonder how it will differentiate itself from the latter.
Here's hoping - like every year - that this title will try something new, but this time with concentrating less on nostalgia and more on feeling like a modern title. Or perhaps some romance, but one that actually goes anywhere; Precure tends not to do this, unlike other titles aimed at little girls. Also bring back singing transformations

I wonder if this is going to be more general cooking than just baking. Maybe a catering business will be involved? It would fit the party part of the title.

I’m excited!
I do hope it’s a bit different from Kira Kira (and it probably will be), because I want it to stand on its own. Also, Kira Kira is my favorite season that I’ve seen so far, so I want that one to stand on its own too.

ANOTHER food related Precure? I hope it involves actual cooking.

Kira Kira did involve actual cooking. It showed the girls making the sweets and we got some real recipes for the girls’ signature sweets.
I bet this one is more about food that isn’t sweets.

To be fair...
5 years is a lot of time for a kids’ show.
To adults who watch Precure, it might seem like it’s repeating a theme quickly, but a 2nd grader who watched the show is now in 7th. A child who was born 5 years ago is now ready to be the age to watch Precure. Similar themes for different generations.

I've yet to watch any Precure series, mainly due to the sheer number of eps and series the franchise has (Though I am interested in watching it someday), but this title sounds to me more like a mobile or console game than an anime. It could also be something else entirely given the name and trade mark are filed for various goods.

I'd rather just have another season of Ojamajo instead

No, it's absolutely for an anime, and is par for the course for Precure titles. The trademark came out at basically the same time as Sentai's, and this is roughly around when the trademark usually comes out (though last year was a bit off for obvious reasons).

Just skim the designs and summaries of series and pick one that sounds interesting to you to give a shot. Might be because of the era for me when I grew up and the era of anime I really got into 45-52 ep isn't really excessive especially compared to a lot of shounen anime. I fell out of MHA cause it just keeps going. Really my best advice is again just look at summaries and art of each series and if one seems to strike your fancy watch a few ep from it. That's how I actually choose which ones I watch. If you do want a suggestion for one I say give Hugtto Precure a shot, it was my first and still ranks as one of my top favorites.

I have seen in full Healin' Good Pretty Cure, Kira Kira Pretty Cure A La Mode and the first season of Futari wa Pretty Cure (the very first one). All of them are excellent, and Kira Kira is my personal favorite.
Also, Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure is airing right now and it is wonderful! Very joyful and sincere series, you should watch it.

I agree with most part, but personally I wouldn't go with Hugtto first, as it has a few crossover episodes with some older titles. I think the best way is always getting into the newest series which is currently ongoing - which is Tropical Rouge - or wait until next February for the next one (the one which was trademarked). Or you can go with whichever is legally available in your country, which is very few (for me it's only KiraPre and Futari Wa, but HealPre and Tropical Rouge is also available is a few other countries) - unless it's Glitter Force, we don't talk about Glitter Force.
The first one I started following was Hugtto, but Heartcatch was the first I've ever finished and I still think it's one of the easiest to digest titles with an excellent movie, although it's not my favorite, that should be Suite and Star Twinkle.

Design and theme of choice won't tell that much about a season's content and style (save for two or three seasons) but honestly it's either that or choose randomly You're going to be seeing the pink cure a lot so you better like how she looks.
Something to keep in mind is that even if all seasons are rooooughly the same, execution can vary a lot so don't be too tough if a season disappoints you, and don't be afraid to jump to a different ship if you aren't liking a season.

Just want to say this really shouldn't stop anybody from watching Hugtto first. Every single cameo appearance is basically background filler except for Nagisa and Honoka, and even then watching FW and MH doesn't give you any greater appreciation to their appearance because of how little the cameo matters. It was just an excuse to get a big fight scene, not something nuanced enough to where something is lost if you don't know who these characters are.
