Honestly, I can't believe they release this trailer and think, "We did a good job".

Hadn't watched the trailer, but just looking at the character images I was thinking "is this 3dcg anime? They look like models."
But damn that trailer is something else. Not ExArm level bad but not much higher. Really gave me dime a dozen RPG cutscene vibes. |

Aw, the premise sounds like so much fun and then the trailer looks like a PlayStation 2 video game cut scene. Disappointing! I’d be curious to check out the manga, but the anime....eh.

It's a CG anime. IMO it doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look that good either.

I'm pretty lenient on CG anime, but dang even Polygon's early work on Sidonia/Ajin is leagues better than this. This looks straight out of a PS2 cutscene with those models and animations.
