Seems like a good cast. I'm gonna have to hear Cassandra Lee Morris Totoko first though, I was kinda hoping Erica Mendez would be casted for her.

Also looks like they replaced Chris Niosi as Choromatsu. |

That's...a very different role for Cherami Leigh.
Yeah, I was kind of expecting that would happen after he'd been recast in other roles. I don't think that had anything to do with why the dub was so delayed, but still. |

It includes a lot of parodies and Japan has no fair use clause. The ep isn't available in any way in Japan either. |

Christopher Bevins took over directing the show, as Patrick Seitz at the time was doing Fire Emblem 3 Houses, plus Chris Niosi came under scrutiny back in July 2019 as he admitted to abusing his friends and workers several years back. |

It is going to be interesting to see how certain things are localised, something like Sheeh and Jo will likely stay the same. What about Chibitas odd why of saying idiot or Iyamis odd speech patterns. What will Karamatsu say instead of English words, will they be the same or changed to sound more like try hard cool.

Nah, it's a normal role for her. 
Which makes it an example of the "Keep Circulating the Tapes" trope.
They might just drop Iyami's speech patterns, or give him an odd dialect. Karamatsu will say Spanish words instead!

God damn does it feel like FOREVER since I’ve last heard about the Dub
Out of cast, I’m most interested in hearing Keith Silverstein as Iyami. He’s a very versatile VA, but when he’s not playing an antagonist, he’s usually playing someone who is mostly serious. In recent years the few roles of his that was neither of these (that I can recall) was one of the rappers from Devil Man Crybaby. I can’t even picture him doing Iyami’s signature phrase. But that just adds to my anticipation of what the Dub will be like. But ready to ship? I’ve never even seen a pre-order for the BluRays yet. Or I guess that just means it’ll be publicly available in retail? I was hoping it’d be available on CruncyRoll, at least. |

The pre-orders at key retailers will probably be up in the coming weeks. I don't think the lack of a pre-order guarantees that an item will be publicly available in retail. However, I think the Mr. Osomatsu Blu-ray will be available at key retailers both online and in-store. |

Chibita can just say "Idjit". I feel like Iyami's speech pattern can work; just replace "I" with "me". I guess they could add random french in too. I assume Karamatsu will speak in a different language but I guess we'll see. It won't have the same effect as stuff like NO PLAN da. |
