I was actually intrigued by the cover art and my initial "oh, it's a Minecraft manga, that could be cute" impression, and then I read the review.
Of course it's a death game. Why wouldn't it be a death game? I suppose it's leaving itself open to take the Log Horizon route later, or at least the .hack// approach, but man. Once upon a time, manga authors knew how to make stakes compelling without immediately jumping to killing people... |
