I have to say this is probably one of my new favorite new subgenres too. I recently read Akiko Higashimura's series My So-Called Artist's Journey, and it quickly became one of my favorites. This series also sounds like its worth checking out.

Color me intrigued. Considering I'm a lady in my 30s with PCOS and hoping to have my own journey when financially able to, this definitely sounds up my alley. I think I'll have to pick it up for sure.

My wife and I enjoyed this manga a lot. As you say, every pregnancy is different, but even in the different details you can find a commonality.

There was a lot of criticism towards Shinzo Abe not making any progress towards raising Japan's birthrate like he promised. It got to the point where there was a meme about how he was using anime (most notably Darling in the Franxx) as propaganda to encourage people to start families. |

Surely you haven't forgotten about SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist (TV). From the first review:

Was that a deliberate pun? |

The current prime minister is from Abe's former cabinet so I assume he's got the same conservative politics. Therefore, we can and should blame Abe |

But that had nothing to do with Abe. The governor of the Tokyo Metropolis in 2010 was Shintaro Ishihara, who hadn't been in the LDP since 1995 (for reasons including that he felt it was too subservient to the US, and because he's a populist - considered right wing but also imposed cap-and-trade, taxed bank assets, and a bunch of other assorted moves.) It's like blaming the President of the USA for something done entirely by a state government - and the final revision of the bill after edits was passed with large all-party support in a Tokyo Assembly that had the most DPJ members in a very long time, one of the rare times that the LDP wasn't the largest party. To be completely fair, the LDP was ok with his election in 2011 considering that, as often happens in Tokyo, all the leading candidates were independents (and that he had several times beaten official LDP candidates in previous elections), but in national politics he formed his own party immediately afterwards. |
