Well good news about Strike the blood. Let's maybe hope they get Season 2 and 3.

It literally says they're adding them at a later date

Excellent news. This gives some small hope that these might make it to BD over here.

Finally! I'm sorry that no one besides Crunchyroll seems interested in licensing this series. Strike the Blood has been a personal favorite since discovering it on CR a few years ago, and I've been anxious to get to see the OVA's. Hopefully we'll also get a physical release down the road of all the OVA series...

Happy to see them finally licensing the OVA's so I can legally watch the rest of STB.
Is Hakubo worth a watch?

Great news. I had been hoping for a legal way to watch the StB OVA's, and here is finally. I also wish for disc releases of them.

It really says a lot about how many bridges Yamakan burned that it took a whole year for his movie to get licensed.

Amazed it took this long for something to happen with the Strike the Blood OVAs, many aren't even aware the series is still going thanks to very consistent Blu-ray sales (each OVA installment outsold the TV series) and the absurd amount of merchandise it's been getting. Hopefully we'll eventually get them on Blu-ray, and we'll see a dubbed re-release for the TV series. All that happened was we got a subbed-only combo pack release Discotek distributed for Crunchyroll in 2016.

A dubbed release would be nice as it indicates the show is selling well. However, a sub only Blu-ray is a lot better nothing.

Strike the Blood kind of came out at a bad time. The Discotek release came out 2 months after the FUNiroll deal was announced back in 2016. If Strike the Blood hadn't been part of the Discotek distributed batch of titles, it likely would have gotten a dubbed release distributed by FUNimation during that deal, and most likely an LE. We could have also possibly seen the OVAs sooner rather than nearly 5 years after Kingdom of the Valkyria (OVA 1) first came out.
Also right now, it's pretty hard to buy the Discotek release because it's always sold out thanks to their distribution problems that were caused by things out of their control starting last year.

I'm glad they are finally moving forward with showing the follow up seasons, but be prepared for the Light Bars of Lewd, The Steamy Clouds of Fluff, and the Black Slash of Innocence. The OVA's do have some boobie-flashes, skirt whooshes, shower/bath scenes and other little bits of fanservice that actually works well in context, so those will likely be edited or masked in some fashion.

Hmm! It seems the first two OVA's haven't been censored!
