That could be pretty cool --- it's a decent premise, and the sample art from the graphic novel looks excellent.

(I have the First Squad DVD, but was disappointed that it didn't have the live-action "veteran" talking heads reminiscing about the events depicted in the anime. I thought that added a nice layer to the film.)

Oh cool, I had no idea they were doing a kickstarter, glad I saw this just before it ended since I quite enjoyed the movie and the art in the book looks nice.

Yeah I agree that was a neat aspect to the movie when I got to watch it that way too.
