This is amazing.
But why did Naoki Urasawa write Bong Joon-ho’s name with the “Po” character? Is that a phonetic thing?

do the racial tensions between SK and Japan not run as high as I assume? I'm not trying to be racist but, considering what the media there on both ends lean toward, it's a bit surprising to be a Japanese guy praise a Korean.

Everyone is different. Just because there's tension doesn't mean everyone in Japan hates Koreans. Otherwise, stuff like KPOP wouldn't be popular in Japan (it is popular), and Manhwa wouldn't get anime adaptations.

Game recognises game.
I’d love it if those two work together.

Haven’t seen Parasite yet, but everyone who’s seen it says the Oscar was well deserved. Glad someone broke the “1 inch barrier” of subtitles!
It would be awesome if Bong Joon-Ho adapted one of Urasawa’s manga. Hey, Pluto hasn’t been adapted yet...

Exactly that - the name pronounced as "Pon", not "Bon".

The caption might as well read "Some dude from the anime industry drew a picture of some other dude of whom he's never met, and not even from the same country."
This is a non-story.

Is “Award winning manga author congratulates award winning film maker, man on internet upset they did great things worthy of recognition and that people know them by name,” a better caption?

Weird, while watching the ceremony I thought he resembled Urasawa.

That is a really soft “B”.
