Oh, man. I'd love to see CCA (or F91, for that matter) on a big screen.

I love Char's Counterattack! It's kind of a mess, but it's one of my favorite anime movies. I already have it on Blu-Ray, but I should consider going to see it, if just to get the theatrical experience.

The Engrish is strong here, guess those days aren't behind us. I'll be damn though if I ever pay money to watch that train-wreck of a then finale for UC Gundam yet again.

No, Sunrise doesn't seem to realize that Canada has theatres. I wonder if this is part of why they aren't screening the dub?

I would argue ALL of the UC Gundam Dubs are great. (Except maybe the "Gun-Dam" Movie dubs. Bad direction with good actors) With the only awkward one being Zeta Gundam which is still good.

I can't imagine anyone but Brad Swaile as Amuro.

For the UC timeline I stick to Japanese for vocal continuity, with the exception of Unicorn and 0080. Too bad Double Zeta is stuck with only having an Animax Asia English dub.

I don't think Double Zeta will ever be English dubbed on the level of the older releases.
It's a shame, for sure. I'm not going to watch it until it gets a dub. I guess that means I'll never watch it. To this day, it kills me that Bandai America saw fit to have us jump from basically 08th MS Team (First Gundam was also airing) to freaking Char's Counterattack. At least Zeta was released a few years after that, but Double Zeta will always be a hole in UC history for dub fans. I think even 0083 released after they put out Char's Counterattack...

They should just re-release Gundam Double Zeta with the Animax English dub. It's pretty bad, but it's no worse than Blue Water's horrendous Zeta Gundam dub.

It says a LOT that the Nozomi Blu-rays default to Japanese audio for Zeta.

I'll never understand why a lot of fans hate the Zeta Gundam English dub. I personally don't think it was that bad by any stretch. Sure, it wasn't nearly as good as Cowboy Bebop's dub, but I never thought it was as bad as the something like the dub for Lost Universe or what I've seen of the ZZ Animax "dub". I watched Zeta Gundam from beginning to end dubbed, and I loved it. I thought the casting was pretty good. I would have preferred to have the original actors for Amuro and Char, but I can understand that some sort of strike was going on.

Having said all that, I completely respect anyone's stance that Zeta Gundam had a bud dub. We all have different tastes. I personally just hate that many fans will never be able to watch the UC saga from beginning to end in dubbed fashion. It still blows my mind that Turn A wasn't even dubbed. I can imagine that it would have had a killer dub if Bandai actually wanted to spend the money for it. Oh well...

The acting is entirely wooden in the Zeta dub, with very few exceptions. The 0079 dub leans into the corniness at times, sure, but it was well-acted overall. Everything in the Zeta dub feels unnatural and off. I don't know why they didn't get the main Ocean studio, unless they just didn't have the money to pay them. Blue Water is terrible. It's almost like it were Ocean's budget studio.

Zeta Gundam is my favorite mecha series and it deserved better.
