Surprised the officials didn't demand their money back (ala the Lucille Ball Statue) or an alternative mascot. Can't imagine people clamoring for the new cards...

They asked him specifically to draw the mascot, they knew what they were in for. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea, but it was intentional.
