No relation to voice actor Ken Narita, by the way.

May you rest in peace. We lost so many good people this week.

Narita's 009 OP is so great and is essentially the iconic theme song for the franchise imo. His work on Denjiman is no slouch either, being one of the stronger theme songs of early Super Sentai.

Do you think we can get a encyclopedia entry for this Ken Narita?
He did the opening theme for Cyborg 009 (TV 2/1979) and the themes for Call of the Wild: Howl, Buck (special). |

All I saw was Ken Narita in the title and thought he really did pass away. Still, it is unfortunate that this happened. More deaths keep happening. I hope his family and friends stay strong. RIP

Sad to hear, I actually hadn't heard Ken Narita's original version of Taga Tame ni:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaPaZRnkG70 There is a cover of Taga Tame ni by Chiaki Ishikawa (not actually used on 009 Re:Cyborg, but appearing on the album "Another Sound of 009 Re:Cyborg"). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwtE5kUqN-4 |
