That's a lot of mammoth snails.
I love Adult Swim for doing this. Astro Boy needs more love in the states. |

Whoa, cool! I guess they realized nobody watches Adult Swim on Christmas anyway, so might as well do something quirky.

finally, I have something to watch other than Garth Marenghi's Dark Place and Futurama... Futurama's gonna go away.

That is a quirky move, but it shows that [adult swim] recognizes the anime classics, even if a vocal part on the message boards hate it. Once Jan. 5th arrives, Astro Boy is back on at 5:30 AM ET/PT, usually preceded by that old chestnut, InuYasha @5:00. |

Despite my best intentions, I was only able to stay awake for the first 2 episodes of this.
Honestly, what I'm impressed by more than anything else is that I rather like this show... I've attempted to watch old-school Kimba (via dollar DVDs) and could barely stomach 1 episode. My mom stayed up and watched it a bit with me... apparently, she vividly remembers watching it as a kid, the first episode especially. (in contrast, my brother only recognized it because of the Astro Boy poster on my door.) |
