I was wondering if any of you are familiar with manga with a sort of chibi-ish style, or at least, a manga that draws a lot of its characters in chibi. (incredibly disproportioned manga style wherein the heads are usually bigger than the body, or something like that)
I'm not quite sure whether the term "SD" is the same as chibi too.. (We've all heard of the serious typical manga style that goes all comedy and its main characters go chibi, like in Rurouni Kenshin)
Does anyone know of any good titles? ^^

Uhmm I guess you should check-out Koge Donbo's manga like
Pita-Ten, Konkon kokon, Kamichama Karin etc....
And also Rozen Maiden manga.
I'm not sure if all of this title are always drawn in chibi all the time, but the drawings are usually cute.
For Rozen Maiden the characters are dolls but they are cute and I don't think it's chibi too.

SD (aka super-deformed) is the same thing as chibi.

The artwork of Hitoshi Tomizawa struck me as somewhat chibi-like: characters with big eyes, big ears etc. (some of them almost resemble humanoid mice). Alien Nine, Milk Closet and Blitz Royale may have got what you're looking for art-vise. His series handle rather mature themes though.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Azumanga Daioh (which is now available in onmibus format!) or Yotsuba&!. I'm not sure if they are actual SD characters, but they are very simple and cute.

Haha whenever someone says SD, I think "shrinky-dinky"
I wish someone would translate the Dragon Half manga, that's cute chibi there!! I agree with Koge Donbo's work. Even the older kids look SD.

Hmm, I would have thought that Peach-Pit would be one to write characters in chibi form, like in Zombie Loan or DearS. You might try looking at some of the anthology 4 comas that they have on the market. A lot of the time they aren't serious so they would get you some not so serious chibi forms of characters from series or games.

Yotsuba was a manga character?
I always thought she was just the mascot of 4chan. *feels stupid now* |
Aww, please don't. I actually just found out about the work myself while browsing the isles at a book store. I mentioned it because it is by the same author as Azumanga, which I loved. Plus, I figured the art would be similar (the cover art also shows this). Sorry I can't think of any more.

Specifically, the author of this post is asking about manga drawn in chibi style or SD characters (take your pick). I have never read Chibi Vampire, but if the characters are drawn in a simplified manner then yes, this would go here.
Hope this helps.
