Well, crap. This was one of the Summer shows I was really looking forward to....
The lack of announcements for streaming also annoys me. Like I get why people get mad when Netflix licenses shows, but at least when they do, you now it’ll be coming eventually. Right now the legal release status for this show is now a giant *shrug*.

So I'm guessing this means it's a Netflix exclusive.

It means there's likely not going to be a streaming version. Warner Bros. is shooting themselves in the foot by not simulcasting this.

What's going on with this show? why such a stupid long wait for a convention-exclusive premiere? why not just stream it somewhere? I'll stop caring by this point. Etsuko's CD will be out by then, so I'll no reason to even try one episode.

I'll admit being jealous of AX getting all those premiere episodes, but this isn't what I was looking for either. Hopefully we can get the rest of the episodes (and these two for those who aren't going to Otakon) in a timely manner.

Damn, I was actually looking forward to this. I hope whoever fansubs this will be well versed in Capcom games and SF lingo, if used. It makes me wonder if due to video game licensing, WB needs to demand more money for this show , that frankly isn't that visually appealing and caters to a niche audience, deterring streaming licenses

It always worries me when WB picks up anime licenses as it has potential grounds to sit in limbo indefinitely with no chance of pickup. However, it also technically makes sense considering that to pay for all the gaming licenses, you need a company with deep pockets.

Dude, we're talking about video games released in the '90s. There are plenty of adult anime fans among us who are familiar with that golden age and can offer more than enough insight to how the industry worked. Plus, you have YouTube videos of these games being played. We're not dealing with the Dead Sea Scrolls here.

I'm sure everyone will miss your business.

I guess Sazae-San, Chibi Maruko-chan and Crayon Shin-Chan shouldn't count as good anime either because "bad character designs".
