You probably already know this, but Bronze statues are a bit of an inside joke in One Piece, with Luffy always wanting one and getting shut down by the rest of the crew. |

You can think what you want from the series, but the fact that Oda's series is the most selling manga world wide and is pretty much about the scale of Harry Potter when it comes to sellings plus all the other merchandise, there's something to say about his income. After all, he has so much money that he can donate 800,000,000 like because he can afford it easily. Given the sells, millions of people don't have the same view as you, which is natural, yet the great majority of them do think that the series is worth spending money on. Money isn't the most important thing in the world, but lots of people won't ever earn as much as Oda does, who earns an amount of money that is at least three times higher than the amount of money he just donated. |

I had no idea that Kumamoto was still in need of funds for repairs. I rarely see any charity auction items benefitting the Kumamoto victims on Yahoo Japan any more. Really wish more was being done if the region , especially as it looks as though 38,000 people are still displaced by the earthquake, two years later.
It's nice to see that Oda has made such a generous donation. |
