I'd prefer if someone licensed the light novel...

I'm actually glad they didn't cancel BBB in the first place. There was a gap of nearly 3 years between vol 7 and 8.
So, I don't care about Eromanga Sensei one bit, but Dark Horse doesn't license too much anymore these days, do they? Did they license more Manga in the past, or is that just my impression from looking at their large backlog they acquired over a long time?

Dark Horse was never as big in the licensing game as publishers who focus more on manga, but they've been at it longer than most and maintain their back catalog fairly well.

Still holding out hope we'll get the light novels in the future too. I'll gladly take the manga and it's coming from the least likely company too.

I dunno if they're the LEAST likely. They already released Oreimo, the Kuroneko spinoff, and an Oreimo anthology book.
Does Darkhorse still do novels? I know I have a few by them, but none I have from them are recent.

I don’t know about September 26th as when a listing first popped up for this over a month ago it said October 9th, and that’s what Amazon and B&N etc. are still saying now.

It probably doesn't matter. Dark Horse is extremely bad at releasing manga on the proposed date. It is not unlikely for something to finally come out weeks or months late.
