With all due respect I think you missed out on one of the most touching proposals of them all, namely Maison Ikkoku. When Godai finally pops the question carrying Kyoko's drunk father on her back, her answer makes you understand the terrible sadness she has been carrying all the time since she became a widow. A real tear jerker.

There are few shonen based animes that also kind of do justice:
*In Fullmetal Alchemist, we have spoiler[Ed trying to propose to Winry by using Equivalent Exchange as method] *In The Last Naruto the Movie spoiler[Naruto and Hinata simply start running together happily in the end when they confess their love to each other in some sort of illusion where they start aging until they state they want to be together forever] *Then we have Rurouni Kenshin Reflection but spoiler[surprisingly it is Kaoru who proposes as Kenshin still did not get over in regards to his actions.] |

I HAD to pick Uchiyamada's Cresta as my car of choice to steal. There's no way I couldn't.
Would stealing the Utena car be kidnapping, since, well, it is Utena herself? |

Definitely missing Ed’s from FMA. That was hilarious and so damn sweet.
I’m currently watching Bakuman right now so seeing it make the list is nice. |

Your footer is doubled.
It's great to see Ikki and Stella up here, they're adorable together. |

Somehow I find Goku's proposal to Chichi the most memorable, because it's so utterly "yeah, whatever".

Exactly what I was thinking! I was expecting it to be the #1 item on the list. |

I was thinking the very same proposal, Marzan!
Another memorable proposal is Max Jenius’ proposal to Milia Fallyna after she attempts to kill him on their first date in the original Macross TV series. |

Yaaaay, Chivalry acknowledgement! Ikki and Stella are an incredibly cute couple, and the romance in that show actually got me together with the love of my life. So I might be biased.

It does actually, in fact, mean that commenters don't read the post. By its very definition. And I think it's a pretty damning sign that in order for someone to pay attention to something it has to be shouted in all caps and bolded. |
