I saw Char's Counterattack over the weekend, anybody else seen it? I thought it was a tad disappointing, but the mecha combat was sweet.

You aren't really supposed to watch CCA until you have seen 0079, Z Gundam, and ZZ Gundam.

I have seen 0079 and have read synopsis for Z and ZZ, so I am quite aware of what is going on... still was disappointing though.

Nobody has made the obvious response yet, so I guess it's up to me:
There's a big difference between reading a synopsis of something and actually watching it.

Yes, that is true... however I am well aware of the history of both Char and Amuro. Don't get me wrong, the movie was not awful, it just wasn't as great as heard it was. It still was a decent movie and like I said before the mecha combat is top notch.

I own all of the bootlegs (unfortunately) for gundam with the exception of Turn A, Victory, and the movie f91. I thought that CCA was really good. It does follow the universal century timeline very well. and yes the mecha are very cool.
