This is getting a North American disc release? And not any of other (better) idol shows, except for the two FUNi got before they got with Crunchy, (and presumably the popular ones that aren't out yet but might as well be sports anime, the guys look so bland.)
(This isn't idols, it's bands, but it has Shouta Aoi. Band Yarouze actually seems pretty good, though, and it's also bands and also has Shouta Aoi.)
But yeah, TsukiPro actually ended up being really good. I'm glad I chose to watch that instead of this. If you want to see what Dynamic Chord would be if it were good, try TsukiPro.
........ the box that randomly moves across the ground actually has a demon in it. Because Shun.

Thanks for pointing that out, I've removed it.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I guess it goes to show how hard animating actually is.

I watched the first episode and laughed my arse off.
That's some quality animation there Basically it's ONE long music video.
Also at one point the drummer for one of those bands looks like he's jerking off

I'm still watching Dynamic Chord, but only because I hope they'll let Takahiro Sakurai sing. But after looking up some of apple polisher's songs on YouTube, apparently they don't, so I may drop this after all.
I haven't seen animation this clunky since Weiß Kreuz, as if half the inbetween frames are missing. They might as well just use still frames of everything, like a motion comic, which it very nearly already is.
The first episode featured the worst walk cycle down a flight of stairs I've ever seen - and they reused it in another episode! Sometimes we get dramatic scenes of the camera panning slowly across a closeup of a character's eyes (which has been reused no less than a dozen times in 4 episodes, just for one character), or painfully clumsy concert footage consisting of looped and recycled animation of instrument playing that doesn't match the music. The music isn't bad though.
It has virtually no plot at all, and what little there is, is strung together with thrilling scenes of the boys buying snacks and commenting in turn about what they got and how good it is, or having breakfast and commenting in turn about what they're eating and how good it is, or trying on new outfits and commenting in turn about what they're wearing and how cool it is.
The whole thing seems like it was farmed out to the producer's kid's 6th grade school animation club project.

Still watching this. But that's right, ever since the first PV I knew that.
I am just for the songs actually, for more stuff there's the dating sims. (Waiting for the Apple polisher release.)

I dropped this after the 2nd episode, exactly for this and because the characters were blander than bland and the story sucked. Of all 3 male idol shows out this season, DC bit more than it could chew.

I had been wondering about this season's male idol shows.
Man, this is definitely amusing.

It looks like typical symptom of animator shortage in Japan.

Hahahahahahahahahaha.
Thanks, I needed a laugh. Yeah, I saw the trailer for this show and I knew I wasn't going to watch it but I didn't think the animation was THIS bad. Yeah, I'll stick to SideM for this season and Idolish7 for Winter. Both have much better animation and so much more heart put into them.
Honeybee has disappointed me once again. You too, Otomate...treat your properties better! Code:Realize deserved 24 episodes and much better animation.

Not really, this comes from Pierrot, an established studio that CAN animate when they want to, but they're just too lazy because they don't care about the product at all. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if a piece of shet like this sold well.

Wow, I'm not following this, so I didn't know Pierrot is animating this. I do wonder if they subcontracted this out to some other company, or several companies, as is common. But even their big mostly in-house shows like Naruto have badly animated scenes though, albeit not as much, so who knows. This could be another way to incentive home video sales, lol.

Pierrot could be just really spread thin, they don't work on just one show at a time.
Still sometimes its nice to get a poorly animated show to remind us that most of our stuff is not that bad.
