I hope this series is continued at some point. I know DVD sales in Japan were pretty low so I’m not sure where that leaves the possibility for more.

Yeah, I really liked this show and really want to see more.

Like the review mentioned, some nice developments in this set of episodes. It's a shame the "season" was so short and so far no sign of more.

I honestly don't get what possessed the production committee to think it was a good idea to make an 8-episode season that rushes through two novels' worth of content and still doesn't have a satisfying ending. A 12-episode season that covered novels 5-7, thus concluding the first phase of the story, would have made so much more sense.

I was beyond pissed at that ending, or lack there of. I LOVE that show and I can't believe how they ended it, it was Yona all over again

With news like that, its pretty more or less a certain that there wont be a season 3 and this will be another series where it have a "read the books, kids!" type of a series.

Nothing more has been announced about another season yet, which ranks this franchise pretty high on the list of stories cut criminally short if more is never animated.

the problem is that the anime series is far far ahead of the manga when it comes to the storyline. not to mention that there are parts where the manga and anime versions are very different. for one thing, in the anime version, spoiler[ old man bachman died by hilmes' sword, but in the manga version he is very much alive at this point!]

so its a possibility that the series committee is waiting until the manga is far far ahead in chapters ala shingeki no kyojin in order to avoid using filler eps. on the other hand, they could have just use the original light novels of the series to adapt season three instead of waiting for arakawa to release the series in its manga version.
