"Magic high school" has faded away.
I predict "isekai" will follow suit, though not anytime soon.
But "little sister" will keep shining brightly.
....for the better or worse.

WHY is this STILL a thing in Japan???
like in all seriousness creepiness aside this sounds like every single romantic little sister LN with the exception that its very upfront with its gimmick.

Sounds like a mix between the premises of Oreimo and Eromanga-sensei. Looking forward to it.

Money. Not really my thing but I imagine there is an audience for it and there is not anything wrong with that. I see no issue with it still being a thing as it does not affect me in anyway and it would be sad for the fans if they stopped.

What we really need is one of these that doesn't become just another harem. It looks like the same girl on all the LN covers, so maybe there is a slight amount of hope? On the other hand, naturally they are hardcore otaku LN authors in this as well, since that's never been done before....
I think my interest in this kind of imouto show is about zero. I barely made it through Eromanga, and don't think I'm even going to watch another of Imouto sae. I'd love for something to explore the topic with a little maturity and confidence, but that seems pretty unlikely right now...

lol this actually made me laugh out loud AGAIN.
I ran across this LN 2weeks ago and took a picture as I just had to laugh out loud (in the middle of the store surrounded by people) as I saw the title... and now I get the news that it's getting turned into an anime?
Can't say I'm surprised

What's with all the Tsukasa Fushimi works that encourage little sister romcom trends to keep running for the timebeing?

Well, he's the king of imouto love.
But in reality the little sister in love with the brother characters never really disappear from romcoms or harem LN's.
Japan 2d entertainment have a long story of imouto love in visual novels, light novels, manga and hentai.

I think it was OreImo that popularized both the LN-based anime with long titles and the sibling romance tropes.

As long as they don't chicken out and make them step-siblings, the premise and title sound just absurd enough I might give it a try.
